‘The Daleks are afraid of nothing and no one,’ his captor replied.

‘No, I know that.’ The Doctor did not take his eyes from the instruments. His fingers flew over the controls, adjusting and correcting. ‘But Jamie saved the Turk’s life.

A Dalek would not have done that.’

‘Human weakness,’ the Dalek responded.

‘Ah, but if he hadn’t felt compassion and mercy, then he wouldn’t have saved the man. And if Jamie hadn’t saved him, he would have died in the lethal room trap of yours.’
